daily notes (McColl Center field trip)
Today we met at the McColl center uptown for a field trip. Ive been to the McColl center before to see Aura Robsen? works made with found objects exhibit last spring. But today we got a guided tour which I did like and a sneak peak at the new ceramics exhibit. It was traditional pre-spanish mexican pottery which used lead free clay. I liked the black candle stick holders the most, very detailed work. The patterns on the plates and bowls looked amazing, made my hand hurt just looking, must have taken forever to finish painting. I also want to learn more about the residency program there. that vwould be really cool.
daily notes
Decided on my artist for the curating project, 2 we studied 2 that I chose. I saw an interesting documentary the other night on HBO. A graffiti aritist from England who has traveled the world tagging anything finally comes to the mecca of graffiti, New York, for a month long residency. I wasn't amazed at the graffiti as much as how it was displayed and how the city reacted over the course of the month. I like how it was set up as a scavenger hunt, it made me see how your ideas can be delivered to the world in many different ways. I'm also going to include one of my favorite paintings because its my show and i can do what I want.

Daily Notes
Today in class we received our final project, yes! We must curate an exhibition with the theme of our choice. We must include three artist from our studies this semester and 1 or 2 of our own personal favorites. I think this is a cool idea and should be fun. I'm not as nervous about this one like I have been on the previous 5 projects. Now I must come up with a theme for my exhibit and I already have ideas on the artist, good luck to all.

Poster presentation
My PSA Poster is the one that addresses "Tipping your server". I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 10 yrs. I've managed restaurants, bars and even a ski lodge in Colorado. I started off bar-tending and waiting tables and there is nothing more frustrating than not receiving a tip for your hard work. Waiters only receive $2.10 an hour from their employer and that is for taxes so they receive no check at all basically (tips are how they get paid). While minimum wage has gone up drastically in the last 30 yrs, it has remained the same for servers in the last 30 yrs, its never gone up and there are laws setup by congress so these wages can remain the same and never go up. I don't want to get started on how this pisses me off because I can go on forever on this topic. My poster was not created to increase server tips but just make aware to the people who don't tip to tip. The average a person should tip is 15%-20%. I have one friend who works for "Bad Daddy's Burger Bar" and he told me that they also have to tip out the bus boys from their own tips, he said when a table does not tip it effects him and the bussers. So tips are what keep the restaurant moving in all respects. While doing this project I learned a lot about Photoshop which I had never used before but I learned so much. I first drew the donkey and the server, then I scanned them to my flash and uploaded into Photoshop. Once in Photoshop I began sizing my words, putting on a border, changing colors and finally saving and taking to Repros at school. They had my posteer ready in 30 minutes with a nice Gloss finish. Throughout the process I learned a little about other restaurants (I knew most of the info on tips), but I learned the most about the process of making a poster which was very cool. Thank you.

daily notes
Today we had our second critique of our poster layouts. Everyone has done a good job and there are a lot of great causes being represented. Everyone's needed tweaking and their was good feedback from everyone. I did three different things to my poster after the crit. Have learned a lot about Photoshop the past couple of weeks. Can't wait to see everyone's final posters hung throughout campus. Good luck to all.
daily notes
this past week i did not have a class meeting. I was out of town for Mondays class and Wednesdays class was a out of class work day. The whole week i was trying to figure out what my topic was for our PSA posters. I originally was thinking of lobbyist who payout for big business in Washington but I don't like politics, it all seems corrupt at some level and only money makes things happen. I love my country, but nothing is perfect, our government being one. Either way something finally hit home when I was talking to a friend who was bitching about getting stiffed by a customer (he waits tables). So I'm standing up for all who have waited tables and reminding people to tip because thats how they make money. thanks

Reading: Choosing a mission/ Daniel J Martinez
Artist of the past had missions assigned to them by a church or the higher powers that be, government, monarchies, wealthy. Even artist who "free-lanced" still found their mission or (inspiration to explore via art), bending towards these same ideas. Artist were few and far between, it was still a profession just limited to painting, drawing, sculpture, and a little in dance and theater. in the past 100 years it has grown to encompass almost every aspect of life. Art is expressed through endless outlets and media, plus the number of artist has spread to the point that everyone now thinks they have a little artist in them. Their are tons of artist and tons of ways they have grown to express themselves in all fields (cooking, fashion, marketing, architecture, sports- boxing is an art, teaching, performance). All this makes it more difficult for an artist to find their mission, everything has been done, the church buys prints now. The world has changed and so have our attention spans, we want something new every 15 minutes, ohh the pressure on an Artist to keep up. So the Artist has to choose his/her mission wisely, it has to strike a cord, it has to be worth while, you have to put deep thought and time into it. Choosing the mission has now become the most important part of the artist process now. Its not the 14th century anymore where someone tells you what to paint, you paint it and it is celebrated for generations. You now have to think for that "celebration for generations". It has in many ways actually become the art, the process of choosing a mission.
Martinez is an example of how the "artist label" has spilled over into everything, He is a"tactical media strategist" and that "is" his art, he is an artist. In the past he would either be a sculpture or a painter or he was not an artist. Today he is a "Artist-tactical-artist-media-artist-strategist". This is where the craziness of the mission has taken us. A serious political/issues artist, he is passionate about his mission. We as artist must do this if we want our work to make an impact.

Art 21 Holzer/Jaar "protest"
I took a look at some of these artist projects and I have to say that they are both extremely serious about their work. I'm not that serious but maybe I haven't had a big inspiration yet. Jenny Holzer says she has to believe in her work so she really takes all of the subject matter in and she says after words its physically exhausting sometimes to put yourself in a project so much. Alfredo Jaar is also very serious, in his interview he even said there is nothing funny about his work. I saw the piece on "100 Acres" I thought it was a great idea to have a park that artist can create in. It can touch on multiple subjects and really get the public to notice in an active way. I would like to visit this place sometime. Over all I think these two artist have a depressing feel to them and kind of take the fun out of art.
Art 21 Krzysztof Wodiczko/Laylah Ali "power"
I watched the videos of these two artist and they are very different. Ali finds her inspiration or mission in heer community and draws from her child hood love of superheroes. Her work with the cartoon like skinny superheroes is interesting but plain and simple in my eyes. I'm sure that's whats she is going for. She seemed to get very anal about her colors and I didn't see what all the fuss was about. Some people work differently than others. I did think Wodiczko's exhibition on the side of buildings was very cool. Just walking up to a special piece of architecture that has a human face talking is pretty cool. It reminded me of the wizard of oz. He is very serious about his work and I watched a little about his peace project and understand where his inspirations come from. Both the artist used art as "power" to draw attention to matters which they feel strongly.

Good 100
Took the quiz, hurt my eyes, made it through all 100. I read the list of doers first and decided I was a "cosmic troubadour" but the quiz had me pegged as the "dark Knight", thanks for the complement but I also read Dark knight and that didn't seem like me as much if any. Maybe I didn't understand some of the questions or maybe I wasn't tuned with the 1-10 scale. Interesting.
daily notes
Today in class we received our fifth project assignment. "political/ cause posters" should be fun, I like graphic design and I want to learn more about prints before next semester so I should enjoy this one. Once again the hardest part about any of these assignments is getting started. I have some ideas bouncing around in my head but nothing really standing out yet. The whole time in class we were ansewering questions about what we don't like and all I could think of was Tarheel Fans, can't stand em'. but its not political or a public cause so I'll try to think of something that pisses me off about the government, LOBBYIST piss me off, maybe Ill go for that one . Good luck to all.

"Fantasy" project citique
On Wednesday we had our class presentations for our fourth project with the theme of "Fantasy". Needless to say this was a rare day in class. At first I was nervous before I arrived but as soon as you enter the room and see everyone else you realize that everyone is dressed crazy and people aren't going to be staring at just you. When everyone is dressed crazy then all of a sudden the crazy one is the person is isn't dressed up, that would be our professor, shame on you. I was dressed as a samurai warrior in balloon armor. With the requirements being noise and movement also I immediately jumped to the balloon idea because I thought of "cos-play". I've never participated in "cos-play" so I wanted to give it a try, that's how I arrived at my costume. Before we started we had to have our picture taken photo shoot style. The music helped the situation but I think that was the most nerve racking part to most in the class because you were out there on your own for that one. My group went first in the presentations and there was a ninja with me and we began sword fighting, all the while I was popping balloons to simulate a hit. The minute crept by but we made it successfully. As for the rest of the groups, I believe our group set a fight or aggressive tone because what followed was much of the same. The last group broke from the aggressive mood and put on a more mellow performance which was welcome by then. I liked a lot of the outfits and performances. Some that stood out to me were Ryan's, (he had a light saber and camouflage which reminded me of "return of the Jedi" and he didn't fight with the sword, which is most peoples first instinct, instead made a sort of light ballet, cool). Another was Sara's outfit which looked like she was being blown in the wind, very creative. Randall's "hawk/superhero" outfit took a lot of heat of of my silly outfit, cool and thanks. Overall I feel it was a success and turned out to be one of the funnest classes we've had all year, which I did not expect leading up to it. Thank you and good job to all.

Daily Notes
Today in class was very interesting. First we did movement exercises such as stretching, moving wildly across the room, and an embarrassing improv exercise. Basically I had to walk around the room and act like a soda machine dispensing sodas to the male students, crazy stuff. It will get everyone prepared for the presentation wed. which will definitely be a sight to see and hear. We then took a stroll to the galleries which I do enjoy. First the painting exibit in rowe. Lots of talented people in there, I liked the "latin dancer", "the asian themed 4 panel piece", and the "booty", who wouldn't. Then to the Storrs building we went and saw the arcitecture exibit from their trip to China. I wanted to climb the ladder in the middle but I was not sure I should, maybe next time. Busy day for all, till next time.

Mint Museum Trip
I went to the Mint Museum on Friday afternoon, I've never been to the Randolph rd location. I've been ton the uptown Mint several times so needless to say the new venue was welcome. Our assignment was to view the ceremonial mask and garments of Africa and Mexico. I wasn't excited about the clothes that much butt when I entered the mask room I was amazed at the craftsmanship of these mask. I know these mask are spiritual and ceremonial to their creators but I can see how it relates to our "fantasy" theme. To an american who does not believe in the ceremonies of ancient or foreign cultures it hits on our fantasy side because that is how mask are portrayed to us. I can imagine a lot of people dressed in these mask, but I visualize them I've studied the African Komo mask and their spiritual powers in previous classes, but I've never seen one up close. They were very cool and very exotic. Once again many ideas for our project came pouring in. Just putting on one of these mask can change ones whole attitude and character. The mask gives us freedom to do as we would like because no one can see your physical expressions or read your eyes. To me fantasy starts with freedom and there is no freedom like a mask. I now understand how this trip relates to our current project of "Fantasy". Thank you.Download

Lorna Simpson
I viewed Lorna Simpson's work and read about her in Launching the imagination. Her black and white photos are balanced well. Very clean work, I don't understand a lot of it, could be subject matter. As far as fantasy goes, I did see a piece that I thought was very cool, The picture of the cloud of smoke in the room by itself was cool. It speaks highly of fantasy. A single cloud, indoors for that matter.

Jeff Koons
I've seen Koon's work before and I am a fan. I love the balloon art he does, the painting and finish on them is perfect. One would think the pieces would be light but made out of metal tricks the senses. I like the color he uses in all of his works, very brilliant hues that attract the eye. His balloon work inspires me to do a balloon suit for my project on fantasy. I think it would be cool to have a team of people helping me also, could get a lot more projects knocked out and finally out of the head. He had a very clean studio and did quite a bit of math involved in his works also. Even though I'm a fan I still think he might be extremely anal and completely in love with himself.
daily post
First day back after fall break, trying to get my head back in the game. We got our 4th project Wednesday and the subject is fantasy, which is cool but the media scares me once again. We are to present our theme of fantasy in clothing, movement and sound. Not much of a sewer but I've been thinking of a balloon suit. It will definitely make some noise. I was also thinking of a "lord of bones" type outfit from "game of thrones", a tv show i watch, clanking bones will make noise and GOT is one of my favorite fantasy novels. I don't know yet, we'll see.

project reflection
Today in class we viewed our classmates projects. I saw a lot of great photos and everyone did a great job, but I did have some favorites. The first I really liked was the "fungus" series. I thought it was a great idea to photograph mushrooms and other fungi. Honestly, if I had thought of it I would have done that one. Spending time in Colorado I found that mushrooms are colorful and the textures vary which can make for a great photo series. I really enjoyed the "road kill" series because it was the most humorous of the day, not a fan of gore but he thought out of the box on this one so it was cool. I also liked the "trash with words" piece because it started off humorous but took a serious turn half way through when the words stopped and the pictures spoke for themselves, good way to grab peoples attention and let people see the truth. Like I said, overall the presentations were very good and I thought it was a successful day. Thank you
Reading assignment
I read an "artistic self" for the reading assignment this week. It seems to me that both the artist sort of grew into the artist they are today. Shirin Neshat picked up a camera not to be a famous artist but to try and make sense of the way women were being treated in Iran and other middle eastern countries. Her shots have a political message usually and her success was unexpected. Nan Goldin's camera seems to be her therapist, partner and friend. She documents and chronicles her daily life and the camera is her release and helps her ex[plain the world to herself if not others. I have to admit that these are not exactly my favorite artist. I've studied Neshat's work before, I'm not a fan of political work usually and Goldin's pics while being well taken, just don't draw me in.

Project 3 "Ecology"
Our assignment for project 3 was to take 20 photos and arrange them in a series with the theme of "Ecology". I get nervous with any camera other than a Polaroid camera, so thinking about what to center my project around had me thinking about this one constantly. I wanted to display Nature "framing" man-made objects and as I move through the series I wanted the photos to change from the "nature-framing-man" to "man-framing-nature" and in the middle of the transition show a balance between the two with neither dominating the photo. The first ten photos, the viewer will witness more pleasing pictures because I found that when nature is the frame the pictures do appear more pleasing to an earth conscious individual. For example, a park picture with beautiful, bountiful trees with a man-made rock path cutting through. The middle photo is a balance of man and nature, not very pleasing if you ask me. The final nine photos are man-made objects (ex. buildings, parking lots etc.) surrounding and framing nature. I ended the series with a strawberry framed by the entire city of Charlotte, giving the viewer a chance to weigh each and decide if this is a balance that should exist. Moving threw the series I wanted people who are not that aware of environmental issues to possible become more aware. They will think the first nine are gorgeous and then see the ugly reality of what we as a people have done to that beauty. Man cannot frame nature the way nature frames us. I would hope that after the viewer sees the series they would have a greater incentive to help make a change. I found myself throughout this assignment wanting to venture further on and take more photos because after you take one you instantly think of how you could find another more intriguing view and more ideas pop up. I planned on taking between 75 and 100 pictures but ended up with 165 because you want to keep trying to better the last. After wandering parks in Concord, walking the greenway and strolling about in Uptown Charlotte I too was seeing the ugly truth that man cannot come even close to being the frame that Mother Nature is. Thank You ans enjoy.

daily notes
We didn't have class today but I still had concepts on the mind. I got out of school at 5 and went to the park for the second half of my photo shots. It was hard finding sun light this past week and once again i was in the rain. got some cool shots though. Sunday it didn't rain so I was downtown getting some shots on the greenway and in uptown, projects coming together, see ya Wednesday.

Daily notes
I've been going over what we discussed in class wed, and thinking about my other classmates ideas. Lots of cool ideas came up. I started veiwing some of the artist in our reading and art21's and found inspiration for my project. Edward Burtynsky's photo series of mines and quarries sparked my interest. I cant find that many mine or quarries in the area so I will be doing a series of photos: 10 with man made objects framed by nature and 10 photos of natural objects framed by man made objects.Wish me luck.
Edward Burtynsky
I visited his web site and viewed his projects, "quarrys" was very cool, as a teenager we hung out in 2 different quarrys in Durham and they are really great places for photography. I've never seen such a variety of different pictures of quarrys, it never occurred to me to make a photo collection of them but it was very neat to see Burtynsky to it. He also has other series just like "Quarries" called "mines" and "oil". We saw some of his work in class that delt with frakking and the chemical waste which his horrible in nature but his photos of the red waste are very powerful and can be used to fight against such environmental problems, its a new way of viewing the destruction besides watching the news.
Mel Chin
I viewed some of Mel Chin's ecology works and some other political works. I watched art21 and saw his ideas for Detroit's "Devil Night" which was beyond me even though I would like to see a house pivot and expose the under belly, but not to find a night-crawler farm. I think its ambitious to try and tackle a project involving the burnt down homes in Detroit, respect. The video game that involved old nomad tribal rugs was cool in that it kept these patterns alive and shared them to the world in a different media. I can respect his political passion in his art but some I didn't follow. I'm not that political so there may be a disconnect. I am a big fan of his "revival field", those plants are cool and it is amazing that you can collect the metals from them. The science behind it all is very cool.

daily post
Today in class we received our new project assignment. The theme is "ecology". This seems like a broad subject. I've already used a tree in my first project which was probably more ecology than play now that i think about it. We saw some examples in class such as maya Lin whose work i've seen before. The Vietnam War Memorial is her most famous work but I liked the skating rink she did in the park in Grand Rapids. I also like Goldswothy"s work. I've seen video of the spiraling leaf snake in the stream which is also cool. I like being in nature and outdoors, when I lived in Colorado I spent days in the wilderness and would find myself also doing leaf art and stacking stones just out of habit, not for art but just to be active with nature.

Project reflection/critique
I saw some cool presentations in class. I liked the animation and color of Jacob's "anxiety guy", I think his looked real professional, wished it was longer but I can't say anything in those regards. The others I liked were comedy based. The "drunk robot " was hilarious and I liked the "lego" clip also. I wished I had thought of legos first, would have been cleaner and more enjoyable I believe. It hit the "time" theme for me because it took me back in time when I played with them all the time. Overall I thought everyone's were good considering how difficult this assignment was for me. The theme of "time" was on display in many forms and was entertaining.
Daily Notes
Throughout the week we have been visiting other classes to see what they have to offer. Not one of my favorite activities, I felt as though we would be getting in the way of others working. I did enjoy the print making room because i used to work in the field. I really enjoyed digital media, I can'y wait to start learning more about computer driven art. Glad those 2 days are over though and ready to get back to work.
Project 2: TIME
This project had my wheels spinning the whole time, no pun intended. After viewing Kentridge and Henson's stop motion in class and on YouTube I decided to give it a try. I've always been curious about animation and recently had questions about what GIFs were. Once the decision was made the panic and stressed followed, I've never done anything like this before and I thought I bit off more than I could chew. I chose to do the Dawn of Man because time as we know it only exist because it was created by man, so take it back to the beginning. The stop motion also represented time in motion. My tools consisted of a camera (digital rental from UNCC), a tripod white cardboard backdrop, air dry clay, clamp lights, pencil and pad, and a computer. I started with flat piece of clay and took a picture, marked it in pad tthen went back and trimmed clay from sides and started building up from center. I took a picture (with clay on hands), marked in pad and repeated 40 times (4 different times due to screw ups ex: flash, forgot to mark pics, camera moved). I then tried to plug pictures in "MakeaGIF.com" program but my files were to big,and not being camera savvy, I panicked even more. I eventually set it up through Powerpoint and it turned out better than first expected. Can't wait to try again in digital media, I learned a lot. Thank You

Art 21
The artist in the Art 21 videos were all different from each other and Kentridge too. Kara Walker's silhouettes reminded me of kids coloring books without the color. I would imagine being at that instillation and feeling apart of an uncle remus book with the characters bouncing around me. I'm not a fan of Sally Mann's work. It has a dark feel to it (dead body farm) literally. Although she can make ordinary objects into great photos, the subject matter does not appeal to me. I love wood work so Martin Puryear work really spoke to me. I think most anything crafted out of wood is timeless in this day and age. His stone work has an even ancient feel to it which lends itself to the time theme. The piece he did with the crooked ladder ascending into the sky was a cool idea, with that endless ascension, we feel the time it took to create and can imagine the time it would take to climb into the sky. Overall I learned that "time" can be displayed any many different mediums.
William Kentridge
We watched a Kentridge piece in class, animated piece. This type of stop-motion inspired me in my project2 "Time". Kentridge and Jim Henson actually. I grew up loving the muppets and "The Muppets Take Manhatten" is one of my favorites. But his stop motion work we saw in class is what I will be drawing on for the assignment. Kentridge's work draws on the theme of "time" because of the median he uses. The charcoal is a rich drawing tool and you can see the erased scenes linger throughout the animation, looks really cool. "history of the main complaint" has a really dark and personal feel to it. By the end you feel as you have witnessed his whole process and really feel for the narration.

Daily notes
I've been going over ideas for our new project. The theme of project 2 is "Time". I had a few ideas such as stop-motion capturing a match burning, or george washington going through time, as indicated by the change of hats on his head. I'm extremely nervous about this one because i've never done animation and i would like to give it a try. I'm, reading up on GIF's and checking out Jim hHenson making his early cartoons. Wish me luck and good luck to all.

"painterparagon"'s project was a little confusing for me. It is probably because i'm not familiar with the genre of the piece. I was definitely interested in the dragon but I think the theme of play was lost in translation. Ryan had a very ambitious project but i think he needs to dumb it down for his audience who might not quite understand the theme he is trying to convey.
"rbezant"'s project was one of the more easy to follow ideas which works well with a diverse group of people. I immediately saw the play theme and wanted to approach the piece. I noticed that a lot of others jumped right in and played with the inter-changeable doll. Randal's work was clean and organized and I would call it one of the most successful projects of the day.
"cbaulieu"'s project was the Barbie dolls. The play theme was clear and present. Although I've never played with Barbies, my cousin has and she would have liked the project. If the toys were G.I. Joes then i would have been more enticed to play so I can see the potential. Overall I enjoyed the projects and can't wait till our next critique.
We presented our projects this week in concepts. I feel my project was received with mixed results. I could see that some people understood what i was going for and some did not. I think i was a little over ambitious because my vision would have taken lots of money and time and help. I think people have varying opinions on the state of the environment and it is certainly a hot topic, so making such a piece can have its own controversies.I learned a lot as far as scouting and planning an installation piece and know what to look for with future attempts.

project 1
I've been working on my first project through out labor day weekend. took a about a day to come up with a base plan. Still not sure if I'm on the right track. Its an earth awareness piece that i hope will draw different responses. I scouted locations, I would have liked a big maple or elm tree but do to the scale that i can afford ( money and time ), i had to resort to my local surroundings. I don't have a tree in my own yard so i eventually had to settle on a neighbors down the street, whom by the end of the day thought i was crazy. I then had to get sweaty and dig a hole beneath the tree to symbolize the earth sucking in the plastics. I like being outdoors and working in the yard so the the3me of play was always there. selecting the materials for the tree and the hole was also play, rearranging the pieces would be considered play also. The fact that this instillation can be set up a in any town and arranged anyway, by any gathering of people, and can never really be finished evokes the basics of play. I don't want trash in the hole, but objects of everyday use you don't throw away. My vision for the real piece in a perfect world with the proper resources is a huge tree in a field by itself and a huge crater beneath filled with toys and valued human objects of all makes and models. The tree would hold thousands of cardboard and paper products streaming from its branches. I believe i'm going to call it "Clean your own mess". Provoking all views, some might be mad others may see it as i imagine it, the world sucking up the things we've made from the earth itself. Everything comes from the earth and this is its return, not as a landfill, but as a portal. The plastic being sucked down to the magma of the center of the earth and being despursed back into basic elements. The paper and cardboard would fuse back into the tree before your eyes and youd be left with a bigger stronger tree, and a refueled earth.

thinking about my "play" project and looked over Christo's river project. i believe ive seen this before, very cool idea. Floating down 2 rivers, one below and one above with the wind giving it current. the shaded sun would have cool lighting effects as well. Play is like trying to get yourself in that perfect moment, no matter what.

week 1 assignment
My reading in "IN the Making" focused on the audience of art. You have to think about your audience as much as you think about the actual piece you are creating. I think as artist we do this without even realizing it. All the decisions an artist make about design, size, lighting and even subject, relate to how his/her audience will receive it. Thomas Kinkade wanted to make everyone his audience and tried to reach them all by incorporating his art into everything from paintings to furniture, kitchenware, architecture and so on. Charles Ray seemed to not care who his audience was, he created to create, and knew there would be people out there who would either get his work or not understand it at all. Kinkade communicated to his audience through soothing, calming artwork that never stressed the audience but would attempt to relax them instead, Ray on the other hand wanted his audience uncomfortable, he went for shock value, all while merely playing with art and peoples reactions. Kinkade did not set out to conquer all aspects of the art market. He simply played with his art and it started taking on a life of its own because "play" has no direction or limit. Charles Ray seemed to be all "play" and his playground was any object he could get his hands on, including his audiences minds. Reading over these artist makes me go back and think of all my works and who i was really making them for. When i think about it, I alwaqys feel "ants-y" until my target actually sees my work, 100 of others could pass by but i have intended audiences i've noticed.
